Consillia was formed in 2006 as a result of a management
buyout, to develop and expand a long established rail
business. With a foundation built on over 26 years of
experience, and the quality and determination to achieve
solutions for customers in a timely fashion, Consillia’s
background is firmly based as a leading worldwide provider
of Railway Monitoring and Measurement equipment.
Utilising the Company's experience with inspection and
measurement systems, and particularly preventative
maintenance, Consillia introduced Ultra Violet corona
detection cameras into its portfolio just after the
foundation of the Company. This form of technology
although new to the UK, is widely used throughout the world
for the inspection of high voltage power lines and
installations.
Consillia, taken from the Latin "Consilium" meaning "Advice,
Consultation and Resolution" epitomises the Company's
philosophy in it's interaction with it's customers.
All requirements are dealt with on an individual basis,
discussed in full with the customer, and the best and most
cost effective solution proposed to fulfil each application.
This ensures a continuing good customer and supplier
relationship.
Based in Shardlow, Derbyshire, Consillia has extensive
facilities for the design, development and manufacture of a
broad range of railway measurement and monitoring solutions.
The location also has the benefit of its own in house
railway line which is invaluable for both production testing and
service and calibration purposes, ensuring that all
equipment that leaves the premises accurately meets strict measurement
parameters.
 Aware
of the need to consistently produce equipment to a high and
reliable standard, Consillia has recently successfully
completed its annual Achilles LinkUp audit for approved
suppliers to the Railway Industry.
