Infrared Thermal Imaging and Corona Discharge Detection

Consillia has many years experience in using imaging techniques for preventative maintenance inspections.  The Company has decided to focus on two areas, infrared thermography and Corona discharge detection, which are complementary technologies.

Ultra Violet Cameras for Corona Detection

A fully portable, vehicle or airborne mounted real-time camera solution for monitoring transmission lines to prevent outages on any high voltage system. Corona discharge is quickly identified without the need for complicated analysis enabling planned maintenance to be scheduled, thereby reducing costly failures. Picture, video, audio, text annotation and optional GPS data is stored for replay and quick route generation and reporting. Full information on Corona detection and UV Cameras can be found on the Company's UV web portal at:

Thermal Imaging Cameras for Preventative Maintenance

Infrared Thermal Imaging is a quick and cost effective method to measure the temperature of an object or structure. Everything gives off a heat profile and anomalies of heat can indicate potential problems, which if identified early can be implemented into a preventative maintenance programme preventing costly shutdowns or system failure.

There are many well established uses for Thermal Imaging Cameras and Thermography and new applications are being found on a daily basis for this non contact Temperature Measurement. From Thermal Building Surveys of flat roof structures through data acquisition and temperature profiling of Formula Racing Cars to Equine Thermography providing Veterinary assessment of first class race horses Thermal Imaging is becoming an indispensable tool for everyday life.  Full information on thermography and infrared cameras can be found on the Company's thermal imaging web portal at:
